Seeing Alaska Metropolitan's Ruth Makeover challenge on SLaundry, and the lovely job Elusyve did with Ruth there, pia decided she had to join in the fun and make Ruth over into a slave girl. So we put on the following items:
Hair: Kavar Illicit ash blonde
Skin: Free Spirit Whitney (crying)
Eyes: Eddes Eyes Super Real Ord Medium Green (twinkle)
Silks:Kirina's Creations Temptress Harem Silks (Aqua)
Free Snake Collar
And since slave girls don't wear the shoes, not even feet adjustment was needed. No feets are visible with the lovely full skirt. If they're huge, Ruth's potential owner might not even notice as long as she wears the long silks! Body Politik makeover artist's Polly Pavlova comments that Ruth looks kind of sad, so we used one of the "crying" skins that Free Spirit put out a while ago. Much fun!

Our Guest Panther Blogger
Dream started rping in Gor in early '05 as a Free Woman in Ko-ro-ba. Shortly after, she threw off her robes and joined the panther tribe of Laura, the Tarna-ta-Torvis. Dream says: "I stayed a long time with the tribe, eventually becoming their Second. Shortly after joining the tribe I decided to try my hand at making panther skins, and since then have developed a line of costumes not just for panthers, but for all kinds of roles within the gorean, medieval, and victorian rp themes. I discovered the Silk Caravanserai through the SLGor forums, and immediately wanted to be part of a great publication about fashion within the gorean realms."

Sherona De Groot of DG Innovations has this lovely thing available for a limited time. The handpainted top ruffles are lovely and the irridescent sheer skirt is really well done. pia can't believe that this is a freebie! We're labeling it Fantasy, because it looks perfect for a fairy outfit or otherworld divine creature. Permissions: C/NM/NT

The Silk Raven
Ikbal Silks by Solange Cerveau
L950 per color, fatpacks available
Permissions C/NM/NT
pia owes the Lady Solange a huge apology for taking so long to get to this gorgeous outfit. First Life, Second Life viewer hiccups, hardware problems and a bout of blogging angst has made pia a very slow blogger indeed the past few weeks.
~~Ikbal~~
This beautiful set comes with many options-- 3 different tops, 5 skirts, even two different circlets. With earrings, arm bangles, belly ring, anklets and arm bands, it's also packed with lovely accessory items to complete the look. Shown in Green/Gold. Also available in a bunch of other colors with your choice of gold or silver accents. Don't worry about the "no modify". Ikbal comes with that wonderful resizing script that makes for fast and easy adjustment. pia was skeptical about getting a good fit, but it works wonderfully! This is a major relief, considering the other day pia changed shapes twice and eventually ended up editing an outfit prim by prim to get it to fit. None of that scary and time-consuming stuff here!

Nubian Angel
Tara Water Silks by Hiri Nurmi
L600*
Permissions: C/M/NT
One of Hiri Nurmi Tara Elements silks, Water features the careful sculpie prim work that is a cornerstone of the Nubian Angel line. Beautiful knotwork texture fabric and jewelry elements add to the very polished look of this scripted strip set. Also comes with multiple sized tops to help with fitting or nipple ring jewelry to wear instead (not shown).

Ok ok, so, I was all about to write a review of an outfit from this merchant that I'd found in a market. Realizing I'd forgotten to get the SLURL to their main store, I ran over to check it out, and found /this/ outfit. And immediately changed my plans!
This is the "Unyielding Huntress" outfit. Aside from the panties, the entire outfit is prims. Its all mod, but the outfit was made on an avi slightly bigger then mine, and it was somewhat difficult to shrink down to my size. I managed :D I like the design of the prim top. Its fairly simple, and not itty-bitty, tiny pieces of fur. But the real cool part of this outfit is the skirt/belt. Its somewhat cage-like in appearance, made of interwoven strips of leather and rope strung with irregular bits of rock and fur. Very cool, yes? It gets better. This designer took rp into account when making this outfit, and included in the design several pouches, each of which dispense a different item. Need a bit of kanda to help buy back your sister? Well, there it is in your pouch. How about a couple arrowheads? Its in that other pouch. Get cut by your nasty captor? Apply some salve from this pouch here. Oh, and need some candy? Well, you lucky panther you, you have some bits of candy in this pouch. Uber cool, right?!? I thought so anyway. Gotta love an outfit that's both stylish and useful, in a very panther-y way.
So, all you panthers out there, get over to this store. They have items that are so cool, I almost blogged twice! :D

Darkness Descends from Subtle Submission
by Noirran Marx
L150* No Copy/Modify/Transfer
This lovely outfit was sent to pia a little while ago. Nice buckle details on the top give this outfit a very modern theme along with the included stockings. Pia put on a pair of free Mary Janes from Zhao to show you the stockings, even!
Pia's been on a bit of a break while we think about where we'd like to go with this blog next. It's been an interesting eight months of silks, camisks, tunics, panther skins and the occasional Fantasy and Ethnic wear. Pia still loves silks and still loves shopping, but she's not doing the Gorean RP so much any more. Maybe it's time to spread out a bit and cover a wider variety of Fantasy wear. Suggestions appreciated!
