Friday Freebie: Kimono

Over at SLFreestyle today, Creamy had an awesome post about some free dresses available over at Kumamoto Japan. They're Earth girl dresses and so not of first order importance to pia, but even pia visits Earth sometimes, so she zoomed over there to check it out. And she found this stunning free kimono set! It's Copy/Modify/No Transfer and Free!

There are several other free kimonos, so if you need one for fun, RP or an OOC theme dance, there's a selection to choose from.

The outfit comes with many layers and includes these cute shoes, too!

Lovely detail on the Obi, and pia put on a traditional pale makeup Asian skin that she got some time ago at Chinese Impressions, also free, along with the free hair..

Wednesday Greetings

pia has things to show you but Second Life(tm) isn't working very well for her this week. Hopefully the grid will settle down soon! In the meantime, if Second Life is working for you, you might want to zip over to Gutterpup, where there's a L1 camisk, and Juelle's Silks, where there's a hunt on for a bunch of silks temporarily marked down to L1. Click on the big tarn coin to get your notecard with the riddle hints for the hunt.

Once the grid gets stable again, pia hopes to show you a lovely thing from Beautiful Sin, too!

Subscribe-O-Matic

It's not exactly a market, but today's Market Monday post is devoted to the wonderful invention of the Subscribe-O-Matic. Subscribe-O-Matic is a different way to get out group news in Second Life. Unlike traditional groups, which take up your precious 25 Second Life group slots and which have that annoying chat feature on them, Subscribe-O-Matic works by RSS feed. The group owners can still send out attachments such as notecards and gifts, too. Since it works by RSS feed, you can subscribe to it in any RSS feeder and keep up with the news without having a pile of SLemail to sort through in your inbox. Subscribers join by clicking on a kiosk, and as far as pia can tell, this whole Subscribe-O-Matic thing is win-win-win for everyone.

You can read all about it at the Subscribe-O-Matic tour page.

If you're a designer and you have a Subscribe-O-Matic feed that you'd like to be added to the left column of Silk Caravanserai, let pia know! She's adding all the ones she can find that deal with Gor or Fantasy clothing and accessories.

Chains!

Sirik chains by Lilyanah Demar
The Great Serve
500L Permissions: Modify/No Copy/Transfer

This Lockmeister compatible sirik (a slave girl's chain silks in the Gorean world of SF author John Norman) from the Great Serve has lovely particle chain scripts to connect the various pieces together. The Great Serve is a full scale Gorean food store, with clothing and furniture as well. Once again in an attempt to keep this blog from being locked as "mature" content, pia's taken pictures over a bodysuit.

It's very sexy looking over bare skin, as you can see from this back view.

And the particles turned on!

You can see some 1st life siriks for sale here at Ring of Steel.

Spring Daisy

Spring Daisy Silks by Queen Coronet

While picking up last week's Friday Freebie, pia spied this wonderful seasonal set from QC designs and grabbed it too. With two choices of top, either full coverage or jeweled daisy pasties, this is a really pleasing outfit, and inexpensive too!
